Meadow Ridge Begins Dining, Health Center Renovations
June 8, 2026
REDDING, Conn. — Meadow Ridge has begun a renovation project that will update dining areas at the community and patient spaces at Ridge Crest Health Center.
The project includes a new pub, renovations to the main dining room and updates to inpatient spaces at Ridge Crest, Meadow Ridge’s sub-acute rehabilitation and skilled nursing center. The company says renovations are likely to be completed by the fall.
“We are pleased to further invest in our residents’ experiences at Meadow Ridge. Our residents enjoy dining that is distinctive and tailored to their tastes — when visiting our updated dining room, they will notice that their dining experience is transformed. We’re also excited to see the pub bring our community together in a new space,” said Chris Barstein, campus executive director of Meadow Ridge.
The dining room renovations are intended to update the setting for Meadow Ridge’s dining program, which is led by Chef Tom Villa. The company says the program is designed to accommodate residents’ dietary needs and preferences while offering balanced, flavorful meals. The new pub will provide a more informal space for socializing, beverages and relaxed meals.
The health center renovations are intended to create a more comfortable setting for patients while supporting care delivery. Renovated spaces will include softer lighting, more soothing colors and updates to the neighborhood layout and patient rooms.
“The comfort of our patients who stay at Ridge Crest is core to our mission — these renovations to the center deliver on our commitment,” said Paul Brown, administrator of Ridge Crest.
The project follows recent renovations to Ridge Crest’s therapy gym and outpatient office areas, as well as the addition of virtual reality therapy.
