Charter Senior Living Adds 140-Unit Florida Community to Portfolio
October 6, 2026
LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. — Charter Senior Living has added a 140-unit independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Land O’ Lakes, Fla., expanding its presence in the Southeast and its partnership with LTC Properties Inc., a real estate investment trust focused on senior housing and healthcare properties.
The community has been rebranded as Charter Senior Living at Terra Bella and will operate under Charter’s management.
The addition builds on a partnership between Charter and LTC that began in 2025 with two senior living communities in Kentucky.
“We’re excited to welcome Charter Senior Living at Terra Bella to the Charter family and continue building on our relationship with LTC,” said Keven J. Bennema, co-founder and CEO of Charter Senior Living. “Growth is most meaningful when it brings together the right people, the right partners and a shared commitment to doing what is best for residents. This is a strong community with a dedicated team, and we see tremendous opportunity to build on that foundation while bringing Charter’s culture and mission to residents and families throughout the area.”
Charter said the expansion is part of its strategy to grow through partnerships with senior living property owners while investing in existing communities and resident services.
Based in Naperville, Ill., Charter owns and manages nearly 75 senior living communities nationwide, offering independent living, assisted living and memory care. The company’s portfolio includes new developments, expansions and repositioned properties.
