Benchmark Senior Living Named Top Place To Work By The Boston Globe For 10th Consecutive Year

November 21, 2017

WALTHAM, MA–Benchmark Senior Living, a leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe for the 10th consecutive year.

Now in its 10th year, the Top Places to Work recognition spotlights the most admired workplaces in the state. Benchmark is one of just 10 organizations to win every year since the Globe initiated the recognition.

“It’s even more special that Benchmark has been on the Top Places to Work list all 10 years the Globe has published it because it’s one more thing to celebrate during our 20th anniversary year!” says Tom Grape, Benchmark’s CEO and chairman.

“Since 1997, we have been dedicated to building a values-based culture where associates feel important and assured of our commitment to their well-being. As a forward-thinking organization, we remain connected to what matters, especially to our associates, who are on the front line every day helping us transform the aging experience through meaningful, human connection,” Grape says.

The Top Places to Work 2017 rankings are based on confidential survey information collected from over 75,000 employees in 334 Massachusetts organizations. The surveys measured employees’ opinions on each company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits and engagement. Benchmark placed 10th in the largest employer category (1000+ employees).

“Our winning companies are all in on a secret,” says Katie Johnston, the Globe’s Top Places to Work editor. “Treating employees well isn’t that difficult, and the payoff – increased morale, retention and productivity – is huge.”
