Buckner Retirement Services Acquires Fort Worth Senior-Living Community
September 6, 2024
FORT WORTH, TX — Nonprofit senior living provider Buckner Retirement Services has announced in a press release the acquisition of The Stayton at Museum Way, a senior-living community in this northeast Texas city, from Lifespace Communities Inc. Renamed “The Stayton at Museum Way by Buckner,” it becomes the seventh senior-living community in Texas owned and operated by Buckner.
The transaction provides for the full assumption by Buckner of all resident agreements and entrance fee refund obligations, and a significant reduction in The Stayton’s bond indebtedness. The Stayton, an 11-story community, will remain a class one CCRC; it includes a rehabilitation center, 188 independent-living residences, 42 assisted-living residences, 20 memory-care residences, and 46 nursing units.
“We have worked long and hard in preparation for this acquisition,” said Charlie Wilson, outgoing president of Buckner Retirement Services. “Our top priority is building relationships with The Stayton’s employees and residents, welcoming them to Buckner, and helping ensure the transition is a smooth and positive experience.
“Our faith-based foundation drives our mission and makes us passionate about service excellence,” Wilson added. “We serve people from any religion or no religion at all.”
