Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center Introduces Memory Care Neighborhood

October 7, 2021

Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center has introduced a secured memory care neighborhood, naming Hope Zaleski, certified dementia practitioner, as program director. This specialty care addition is part of a multi-million-dollar renovation and programming enhancement initiative underway at the 201-bed skilled nursing facility in Moorestown.

The memory care neighborhood features 24-hour skilled nursing services, comprehensive innovative treatments and structured daily activities. A high ratio of caregivers to residents allows for more one-on-one interaction, increased supervision, and greater peace of mind for family and loved ones. It is geared for those with a dementia diagnosis, Alzheimer’s, memory loss, mild behaviors and cognitive impairment.

A nationally certified dementia care specialist, Zaleski has devoted her career to working with those with dementia and memory impairments. “I fell in love with caring for this special population and am looking forward to working with Cambridge’s talented clinical team on making the lives of our memory care patients the best they can be,” said Zaleski, who is also certified in therapeutic recreation.

Cambridge developed its 60-bed memory care program with Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility. “This quality care initiative responds to a direct need in the area, and Hope is perfect as program director,” said Marquis’ Danielle Koons, regional director of market development. “She is passionate about caring for dementia residents, serving as a comfort and resource to their families, and further educating our team members on caring for those with memory impairment diseases.”

Cambridge memory care residents benefit from psychology and psychiatry services, family support services, rehabilitation and cognitive therapies, and a robust life enrichment program, available seven days per week. The neighborhood, which utilizes the Wanderguard system, features its own dining room, activity areas and a well-appointed, secure outdoor courtyard with a butterfly garden and walking paths.

Located at 255 E. Main Street, Cambridge provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. Its 63-bed assisted living offering, Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living, also features a memory care setting appropriate for individuals in the earlier stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Based in Brick, N.J., Marquis Health Consulting Services is a highly skilled and vision-driven nursing home consulting company currently supporting Mid-Atlantic and New England facilities totaling nearly 6,000 skilled nursing and assisted living beds.
