Canterbury Woods, Fox Run at Orchard Park Form FoxWoods Home Care

Canterbury Woods and Fox Run at Orchard Park have formed FoxWoods Home Care LLC, a licensed home care services agency that will serve residents at their continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs).
The application for the new agency was approved Feb. 19 by the New York State Department of Health’s Public Health and Health Planning Council. According to the organizations, it is the first collaboration of its kind between two CCRCs in New York state.
FoxWoods Home Care will provide services to residents at Canterbury Woods in Williamsville, Canterbury Woods Gates Circle in Buffalo and Fox Run at Orchard Park.
“FoxWoods represents a new level of collaboration in New York and expands home care services for residents at our communities who need it,” said Rob Wallace, president and CEO of Canterbury Woods. “By coming together, Canterbury Woods and Fox Run are advancing our shared mission to provide quality care for seniors in Western New York.”
William Wlodarczyk, CEO of Fox Run at Orchard Park, said the collaboration aligns with both organizations’ operating models and values.
Canterbury Woods serves approximately 450 residents across its Williamsville and Gates Circle campuses. Fox Run at Orchard Park has more than 320 residents across its levels of care. About 100 residents across the three sites currently receive home care services from outside providers.
Wallace said establishing FoxWoods is intended to create more consistent home care services for residents at both communities.
With state approval secured, the organizations plan to recruit a director to oversee operations and hire care aides. Leaders expect FoxWoods to begin providing services in early summer.
Wlodarczyk said the application process took more than two years from submission to approval.
Canterbury Woods and Fox Run at Orchard Park both operate as continuing care retirement communities offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitative services. Canterbury Woods operates a 62-acre campus in Williamsville and the Gates Circle location in Buffalo. Fox Run is located on a 54-acre campus in Orchard Park.
