Car Parade to Show Support for Residents and Staff at Russellville Park in Portland
May 1, 2020
PORTLAND, OR–A car parade has been organized for this Sunday to show support for the residents and staff at Russellville Park, a Leisure Care senior living community at 20 SE 103rd Avenue, during the stay-at-home order.
On Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m., the car parade of family, friends, community members and Portland Fire Stations #7 will start on SE Ankeny Street, go up 102nd Avenue, and turn right on Burnside, then right on 105th, right on Ankeny, and along 103rd Street between the East and West Buildings, making three laps.
In early April, based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicating that non-symptomatic individuals may spread the coronavirus, Russellville Park implemented heightened protocols that remain in place, including no visitors unless medically necessary. Residents also were asked to remain in their apartments.
Russellville Park offers independent living, assisted living and memory care services. It is among the 52 retirement communities and nearly 8,000 apartments operated by Leisure Care, LLC, one of the largest privately owned and most innovative operators of senior living communities in the United States.
Media is welcome to cover the parade. Photos will be available on Monday. More information about the parade can be obtained by contacting Activities Director Jennifer Cassidy, activitiesmc@leisurecare.com or 503.575.1775.
