Coral Harbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center Nursing Staff Receives Excellence Award

May 4, 2018

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ–The nursing staff at Marquis Health Services’ Coral Harbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Neptune City has earned a nursing excellence award from the New Jersey Association of Directors of Nursing Administration/Long Term Care, Inc. (NJADONA/LTC).

Established in 1985, the NJADONA/LTC provides education, communication and scholarships for administrators, directors of nursing and assistant directors of nursing in the long-term care setting. The organization recognized Coral Harbor for earning a 12-month deficiency-free survey from the New Jersey Department of Health.

Coral Harbor Director of Nursing Valerie Lowman accepted the honor on behalf of Coral Harbor at the NJADONA/LTC’s recent annual award dinner. “The daily commitment by the nursing staff is one of the reasons our team has so much success,” she noted. “Caring, compassion and communication are just some of the positive factors that impact our outcomes. Working with the residents and understanding their individual needs and expectations are keys in providing them with a high quality of life.”

Brick, NJ-based Marquis Health Services acquired Coral Harbor in 2016. The property is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar repositioning to modernize the environment and enhance services. “This honor is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our nursing staff at Coral Harbor, and an illustration of the quality we strive for at all of our subacute rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities,” said Norman Rokeach, LNHA, CEO.

Today 75 percent of Marquis facilities have received four- and five-star ratings for outstanding care. In addition to Coral Harbor, Marquis Health Services operates seven skilled nursing properties in the Mid-Atlantic region—including locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland (the organization’s growing portfolio also includes 10 facilities in the Northeast).

It maintains a commitment to hands-on management and operations to uphold quality skilled nursing for the long term, to advance and support the well-being and satisfaction of patients, their families and staff members. Marquis Health Services has distinguished itself among a competitive field of skilled nursing facility operators by investing in its physical buildings to create modern, comfortable environments suited for the delivery of progressive rehabilitative services.
