Crest Pointe Completes New Therapy Gym

December 29, 2021

Crest Pointe Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Point Pleasant has completed its new 3,000-square-foot therapy gym. Part of a multi-million-dollar renovation and specialty programming enhancement initiative, the state-of-the-art gym features a smart car to help patients simulate actual daily living skills during the rehabilitation process.

“The new space is just gorgeous, so bright and inviting,” said Pam Montemurno, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility and is overseeing the upgrade. “The therapy gym was thoughtfully designed to include all of the latest technologies for physical therapists and care team members to use in helping rehab patients.”

Crest Pointe’s enhancement included the recent introduction of Physiatry Services under the direction of Michael Dambeck, DO. Physiatry services – also known as physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) services –blend pain treatments and physical therapy with the goal to help patients avoid surgery. “The facility’s Physiatry offering supports its aim to ensure the best patient outcomes,” added Montemurno.

Located at 1515 Hulse Road, Crest Pointe provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care; it maintains five-star overall quality and five-star quality measures ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Crest Pointe offers patients a scenic place to rehab and recover, as many rooms boast views of the Point Pleasant Canal. The facility’s renovation already has introduced a redesigned dining area and updated resident rooms.
