Grace Ridge Earns National Recognition
July 30, 2019
MORGANTON, NC–Grace Ridge Retirement Community in Morganton has been recognized by Holleran, the nation’s leading research firm specializing in senior living and community engagement. The community was one of eight recipients, out of 38 surveyed, of the Choice Community recognition.
“We’re thrilled to achieve such a prestigious status,” said Christopher Romick, executive director of Grace Ridge. “Our residents are active in community service projects and volunteer in many ways. It’s rewarding to work with a team of employees and residents who make every day a pleasure.”
Grace Ridge, along with 37 other senior communities, conducted resident engagement and satisfaction surveys between January and June of this year. The eight winning communities exceeded Holleran’s Engagement Index benchmark with a mean score of 85 or higher, on a 100-point scale.
The Holleran benchmark comprises more than 160,000 resident and employee surveys, all completed within the last two years. This places Grace Ridge within the top 15% of the more than 1,000 surveyed communities nationwide.
“For a community to earn the Choice Community Award, it must be a cut above,” says Michele Holleran, CEO of Holleran. “Becoming a Choice Community means the recipient is earning a truly impressive distinction. It reflects the fact that the campus is a place where engagement is deeply felt; it’s a place where residents are successfully aging and where employees are passionate.”
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Grace Ridge is a Life Plan Community spanning 52 acres in Morganton and owned and operated by Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge.
Holleran is a full-service community engagement research and consulting firm with offices in Pennsylvania and Colorado.
