REDDING, Conn. — Meadow Ridge, a continuing care retirement community in Redding, Conn., has been named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Senior Living list.
The community received “Best” honors in continuing care retirement community, independent living, assisted living and memory care. Benchmark said Meadow Ridge was the only Connecticut community to receive a “Best” designation in all four categories and was the highest-ranked community in the state.
U.S. News & World Report’s Best Senior Living ratings are based on survey data from residents and family members at senior living communities across the country. Meadow Ridge earned high marks for activities and enrichment, food and dining, and management and staff, according to Benchmark.
“We are thrilled to be recognized again with these awards. This is possible because of the dedication, genuine care, and meaningful connections that our associates have with our residents in every interaction. I am proud of our team,” said Chris Barstein, campus executive director of Meadow Ridge. “Our residents also make Meadow Ridge a special place. These honors reflect the spirit they bring to our community, and the many ways they care for and engage with each other.”
Meadow Ridge offers independent living, assisted living and memory care. Ridge Crest, Meadow Ridge’s health center, also was recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Nursing Homes issue for short-term rehabilitation.
Meadow Ridge is part of Benchmark Senior Living. In the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Senior Living ratings, 41 Benchmark communities received a total of 60 awards, according to the company.
