Meadowood Names Tom Hecker as Next President and CEO

LANSDALE, Pa. — Meadowood has named Tom Hecker as its next president and CEO, effective Nov. 2, succeeding Paul Nordeman, who is retiring after nearly 20 years leading the nonprofit life plan community.
Hecker was selected following a national search conducted by Meadowood’s Succession Planning Committee and approved by its board of directors.
He currently serves as vice president for administration and chief of staff at Penn Medicine
Health Systems, where he supports executive leadership across clinical and administrative operations. He previously held leadership roles at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. He earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Temple University.
“Tom brings the experience, leadership and perspective that will help guide Meadowood into its next chapter while honoring the strong foundation that has been built over many years,” said Bruce McKenney, chair of Meadowood’s board of directors.
Nordeman has served as Meadowood’s president and CEO for nearly two decades, overseeing a period that included campus improvements, service expansion and organizational growth.
“It has been an extraordinary privilege to serve Meadowood and to be part of a community that means so much to so many people,” Nordeman said. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and grateful for the residents, employees, Board members and families who have made my time at Meadowood so meaningful.”
As president and CEO, Hecker will lead the organization as it continues to invest in its campus, programs and services.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to join Meadowood and build upon the strong foundation established by Paul and the entire Meadowood team,” Hecker said. “What immediately stood out to me was the strength of the community and the commitment of its residents, employees and leadership.”
Meadowood is a nonprofit Life Plan Community in Lansdale, Pa., situated on a 135-acre campus.
