MorningStar Senior Living Joins with Juilliard Extension for Arts Programming
April 14, 2026
DENVER, Colo. — MorningStar Senior Living has partnered with Juilliard Extension, The Juilliard School’s continuing-education program, to provide live, interactive arts-education programming for residents at seven communities nationwide.
The twice-monthly classes are designed for a senior audience and focus on music while also incorporating Juilliard’s other disciplines, including drama and dance. Programming may include demonstrations, lectures, performances and related curriculum, the company said.
Broadcast from Juilliard’s campus at Lincoln Center in New York City, the sessions stream simultaneously to participating communities and include opportunities for residents to engage in real time with instructors and students. Juilliard Extension began delivering lectures in February to MorningStar communities in Mission Viejo and Pasadena, Calif.; Boulder, Fort Collins and Centennial, Colo.; Kirkland, Wash.; and Hillsboro, Ore., according to MorningStar.
“Bringing Juilliard into our communities gives residents access to a world-class cultural experience, one that sparks curiosity, builds connections and enhances well-being,” said Javi Arceneaux, chief sales and marketing officer at MorningStar.
The Juilliard sessions will be offered alongside MorningStar’s resident learning program, MorningStar University: Age Brilliantly. The company said residents who participate can receive a certificate of completion from Juilliard Extension in addition to the MorningStar University recognition.
“The transformative power of the arts is not bound by age; it is a universal language that resonates with the human spirit at every stage of life,” said John-Morgan Bush, dean of Juilliard Extension.
The companies said the programming aligns with creative aging and social prescription initiatives that emphasize arts engagement for older adults. MorningStar also plans to offer specialized programming for memory care residents as part of the partnership and to incorporate classes into resident wellness surveys.
Juilliard said net proceeds from its Lifelong Learning program support student scholarships at The Juilliard School, where more than 95% of college students receive financial aid.
