Norfolk, VA, To better serve the growing retirement living demand in Norfolk and the greater Hampton Roads region, a new state-of-the-art active retirement living community is under construction. Aspire at East Beach will provide high-end, waterfront retirement living in a resort- style setting, featuring an abundance of rich amenities and services in a vibrant and active environment. The community is slated to open in summer 2021.
Located at East Beach Marina at 4801 Pretty Lake Ave., the four-story apartment building will provide 132 studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den and two-bedroom monthly rental apartments in 11 floor plans, many of which include balconies or patios. Amenities will include an indoor open-air pool, fitness center, art studio, salon and spa offering massages, a theater, library and game room. There will be an outdoor patio overlooking the water, private gardening areas and outdoor dining with fire pit. The community will have walkways to the marina and Chesapeake Bay beach three blocks away. Aspire at East Beach will also feature a full-service restaurant open to the public, complete with main dining room, private dining room and bistro-style restaurant and bar. Residents will be provided with numerous social, educational and spiritual programs and events.

Some of the many services include concierge, around-the-clock security, emergency response system in each apartment, maintenance and repairs, scheduled transportation, snow and trash removal and basic cable.
Aspire at East Beach is expected to create more than 35 full time positions in the immediate future. The owner/developer of the community is Arlington, Virginia-based Bonaventure. East Beach marks the third of its Aspire communities. Founded in 1999 by Dwight Dunton III, Bonaventure is a rapidly growing general contractor, with areas of expertise in multifamily and senior living new construction and renovations. It also holds a full suite of multifamily property management and investment capabilities with a portfolio of apartment homes in two states and 22 communities. The architectural firm is J.
