Saint Therese Receives Approval to Expand Corcoran Senior Community
February 27, 2026
SAINT LOUIS PARK, Minn. — Saint Therese has received approval from the Corcoran City Council to expand its Saint Therese of Corcoran senior living community with 31 additional independent living apartments.
The expansion comes less than two years after the community opened. The existing campus includes independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments.
“We always planned for the possibility of future growth here,” said Craig Abbott, president and CEO of Saint Therese. “The demand for independent living in this area has led us to move forward with expansion sooner than anticipated.”
Groundbreaking is expected this summer. Saint Therese plans to begin accepting reservations in March, with construction scheduled for completion in summer or fall 2027.
The expansion will be located on the west side of the current building and will connect to the existing structure via an enclosed walkway. The connector will include a family room, kitchen, community room, children’s area, outdoor game space and conservatory.
Pope Design Group is serving as architect and interior designer for the project. CBS Construction Services is the general contractor.
