The Kendal Corporation Moves Headquarters to University of Delaware Campus
January 14, 2022
The Kendal Corporation, the supporting organization for the Kendal System, announced plans to move its headquarters to University of Delaware’s STAR (Science, Technology and Advanced Research) Campus in Newark, Delaware. The organization will be housed on the sixth floor of the FinTech Innovation Hub, a new building being constructed on the UD campus by Delaware Technology Park, a non-profit organization that provides resources to development-stage life science, information technology, advanced materials and renewable energy companies. Along with Kendal, the FinTech building will house financial institutions, academic centers, small businesses, data and technology experts and other non-profits.
The Kendal Corporation will be sharing the STAR campus with organizations such as the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, which fosters learning opportunities for adults 50 years and older, the University of Delaware School of Nursing, the campus health clinic and other departments and organizations dedicated to advanced health and wellness research.
“The Kendal Corporation is excited to relocate to our new home at the University of Delaware,” said Kendal CEO and president Sean Kelly. “We searched for a place that we could not only call our home, but where we could also continue to grow, advance our mission and contribute in a significant way to the university community. We look forward to collaborating with our new neighbors to help better the lives of Kendal residents and members and advance the field of aging services.”
Previously located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, The Kendal Corporation recently conveyed ownership of its last residence to Kendal Crosslands-Communities, a Kendal affiliate. The corporate team will remain in this location until construction has been completed at the new headquarters at the University of Delaware. The Kendal Corporation expects to relocate officially to their new headquarters in early summer 2022.
