CHICAGO–Known for delivering luxurious senior living at an affordable price, Denver-based Spectrum Retirement Communities announces that its newest senior community at 110 West Schaumburg Road in Streamwood is welcoming its first residents.

Located 2 miles south and half a mile east of the Interstate 90-Highway 59 interchange, Westbrook Senior Living includes 69 Independent Living, 59 Assisted Living and 24 Memory Care residences ranging in size from studio apartments to two-bedroom units. Residents of the 136,000-square-foot community can enjoy a host of top-flight amenities, including chef-prepared dining, Colors of Spectrum wellness programs and entertainment activities, as well as the surrounding area’s many attractions.

The community will also feature Spectrum’s distinctive Transitional Memory Care program, which supports seniors with mild cognitive impairment, while still offering a high level of independence.

“Every detail at Westbrook has been planned to meet residents’ needs and exceed their expectations,” said John Sevo, managing director of Spectrum Retirement Communities. “We are excited to introduce them to all that’s offered within their vibrant new home.”

All residences within the three-story community will maximize health, independence, security and peace of mind, while also compassionately supporting those who need more assistance. As with all Spectrum communities, Westbrook will host on-site personal care services and provide licensed professionals who offer occupational and speech therapies, monthly health screenings and physical rehabilitation.

Westbrook is the company’s fifth community in Illinois. In Libertyville, also in the greater Chicago area, construction is underway on Green Oaks Senior Living, which is accepting reservations and plans to welcome new residents in the second quarter of 2017. Lombard Place Assisted Living & Memory Care, in Lombard, opened last year. Spectrum also operates Three Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care, in Cary, and Cedar Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care, in Lake Zurich.

Westbrook will employ 75 full-time and part-time employees and caregivers from the area.
