Riverton CentenariansDayALLENTOWN, Pa. — Riverton Enhanced Senior Living recently celebrated three residents who have reached the age of 100 or older, with Allentown Mayor Matthew Tuerk joining the community’s observance of National Centenarian’s Day.

The celebration honored Bill Gaidula, 103, Hazel Edelman, 100, and Marguerite Young, 100. The event included a reception and toast, with each resident receiving a certificate of recognition.

The three residents also shared memories of their younger years and reflected on historical events they had experienced throughout their lives.

“What makes Bill, Hazel and Marguerite so special is the lives they have built and the countless experiences they have gathered over the course of a century,” said Tori Danner, life enrichment director at Riverton Enhanced Senior Living. “There is so much we can learn from people who have actually lived through history. We were honored to celebrate with them and have Mayor Tuerk recognize these extraordinary individuals.”

Riverton Enhanced Senior Living offers residential accommodations, dining and activities, along with access to rehabilitation services at Riverton Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
