April 21, 2017

Allegro Senior Living, a St. Louis-based company that develops and operates senior living properties, continues to expand in south Florida with the closing of a land purchase in Parkland. The 8-acre parcel is located near the intersection of US 441 and Loxahatchee Road. The community is comprised of 175 units and more than 186,000 square feet.

The land purchase is a result of strategic planning for Allegro who has strong brand recognition in south Florida, with two communities nearby in Palm Beach County. This community will be the company’s first property in Broward County. Allegro is addressing a need for Parkland’s senior community. Its exceptional reputation led to the project being unanimously approved by the Parkland City Commission.

Construction is expected to start in the fall of 2017. The independent living, assisted living and memory care community is anticipated to open in early 2019. The Parkland property will have a similar luxury design known of Allegro communities throughout Florida. Architectural design will be provided by Meyer Design, Inc. out of Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Allegro is a well-respected leader and expert in the senior living industry with a long-standing reputation of efficiently managing senior communities. Allegro also operates 11 other communities throughout Florida and Kentucky. Allegro’s most recent development in Winter Park, FL is expected to open late summer of 2017.
