Annals of Long-Term Care: Clinical Care And Aging Announces New Editorial Board Members

Annals of Long-Term Care: Clinical Care and Aging (ALTC), a peer-reviewed publication from HMP, a recognized leader in healthcare content and continuing medical education events, announced today new additions to its editorial advisory board.

Medical Editor of ALTC, Gregg Warshaw, MD, Clinical Professor of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine, University of North Carolina School of Medicine (Chapel Hill, NC), said, “The newest Board members bring expertise in key areas of Alzheimer’s disease, person-centered care, and infection prevention, and will support the long-standing mission of ALTC to provide practical, evidenced-based clinical guidance for the interprofessional long-term care team. I am very appreciative of the contributions of the retiring Board members, and I look forward to learning from our new members.”

New board members include:

Victor Lane Rose, MBA, NHA, CPASRM, Aging Services Operations Manager, Patient Safety, Risk and Quality at ECRI Institute, Plymouth Meeting, PA. Rose specializes in operations expansion, continuous performance improvement, and problem solving in the continuing care and post-acute care segments of health care.

Cherian Verghese, MD, MRCPsych, Principal Investigator, Medical Director, Keystone Clinical Studies, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. A member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society Verghese specializes in Alzheimer’s disease, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorder research.

Joseph Mylotte, MD, Professor of Medicine Emeritus, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York, Buffalo, NY. Mylotte is widely published in geriatric medical journals on topics such as infection control and antibiotic stewardship with an emphasis on surveillance and data analysis.

Alexis Coulourides Kogan, PhD, Postdoctoral Research Associate, Department of Family Medicine and Geriatrics, Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. A mixed-methods health systems researcher, Coulourides Kogan focuses on person-centered translational aging research related to care transitions for older adults in addition to models of care for the seriously ill (palliative care and hospice).

Barry Fabius, MD, CMD, FACP, Chief Medical Officer, UnitedHealthcare Community and State Plan, DE. A past president of the Eastern Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society, Fabius has played an integral role in multiple health systems in the effort to provide the continuum of care in geriatrics from acute care and long-term care to home care, hospice, and outpatient services.

Beth Cwiklinski, MSW, MBA, Vice President, Residential Health Services, Meadowood Senior Living, Worcester, PA. Cwiklinkski has served in high-level management positions at several nursing facilities and has extensive experience in active aging, accountable care organizations, data metrics, care improvement, advancing care planning, policy development, strategic planning, and implementing regulatory guidelines.

Kenneth R Cohen, PharmD, PhD, CGP, Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Touro College of Pharmacy, New York, NY. Cohen has spent most of his career in clinical and administrative pharmacy practice with a focus on the utilization of evidence-based medicine.

Terms for the new board began in May.
