Innovative AI-enabled Platform Supports Personalized Virtual Exercise for Seniors During Ongoing Trial
Indianapolis, IN — January 12, 2026 — Avenue, through its active adult brand Viva Bene, announces a pilot program with Groove Health, an innovative, AI-enabled strength and mobility platform designed to support older adults through guided, virtual movement programs.

The pilot, which is actively underway at Viva Bene St. Peters, includes up to 30 residents participating in Groove Health’s virtual strength and mobility sessions. The program is being evaluated as part of Avenue’s continued commitment to exploring wellness forward solutions that support resident options to customize their health journey in the comfort of their homes.

“We’re thrilled to be piloting this innovative approach with Groove Health,” said Laurie Schultz, Principal and Co-Founder at Avenue. “Viva Bene exists to provide optionality for residents’ unique aging experiences to remain purposefully active. Supporting our residents’ strength and mobility is a top priority, and this pilot allows us to explore how technology can enhance their everyday wellness experience.”
Groove Health, a digital platform designed to provide 1:1 support from movement specialists to reduce pain, build strength, and improve mobility, is the first AI-enabled strength and mobility platform specifically built to adapt exercises to individual ability levels, providing personalized support while reducing barriers to participation.

“We built Groove specifically for communities like Viva Bene—places where residents chose an active lifestyle and want expert support to maintain it,” said Patrick Weiss, CEO of Groove Health. “Avenue is an ideal partner because they share our belief that strength and mobility training should be accessible to every resident, whether they’re managing a chronic condition or simply want to stay active. This pilot is helping us prove what purpose-built movement coaching can do for active adult communities.”
The pilot program is in progress and has not yet concluded, but initial resident feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Avenue and Groove Health will continue to evaluate resident engagement and overall experience throughout the trial period and mutually determine potential additions to the program including nutrition counseling. Additional information about the program and Groove Health’s platform will be shared as the pilot progresses.
