Benchmark Makes Additional Investments in Associate Development

July 2, 2018

WALTHAM, MA–Benchmark, a leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, has expanded its associate experience team with the creation of two key roles to further its goal to attract and retain people who share Benchmark’s values and are committed to serving residents, families and fellow associations.

Cheryl Ramsey has joined the company as senior director of associate experience and organizational development, and Jennifer Crotty has been appointed director of organizational development.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Ramsey has over 20 years of experience in leadership and organizational development in the health care industry. Prior to joining Benchmark, she was a corporate consultant focusing on leadership return on investment and, before that, was director of leadership development for Maine Medical Center.

Pursuing a passion for maximizing the impact of matrix organizations through change, coaching, mentoring and strategic improvement, Ramsey has earned four degrees: from the University of Western Ontario, a bachelor’s degree in social organizations and human relations and sociology; and from Fielding Graduate University, two master’s degrees—one in organizational management and development and one in human development—and a doctorate in human and organizational systems. Ramsey lives in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, with her husband, Mark.

A native of Wakefield, MA, Crotty joins Benchmark on the heels of 17 years spent working at an investment firm and doing volunteer work for Alpha Chi Omega, a sorority dedicated to female empowerment. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in sports management and a master’s degree in leadership from Gonzaga University. She currently is completing a doctorate of education in leadership at Northeastern University. She lives in Saugus, MA.

“Cheryl and Jennifer are committed to ensuring our associates have the best possible experience, remain connected to what matters and to helping our residents have passion-filled, purpose-driven lives surrounded by love and support,” says Veronica Barber, senior vice president of human capital for Benchmark. “From our home office to our community teams, our associates are the lifeblood of Benchmark, ensuring our residents enjoy the utmost life experience. We also are dedicated to closely collaborating with, empowering, growing and treating each of our associates as individuals and are excited for everyone to experience the strengthened connections these two highly experienced leaders will bring to our organization.”
