Benchmark Named a Best Workplace by Great Place to Work Institute for Second Straight Year

WALTHAM, MA–Benchmark, a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, announced that Great Place to Work Institute has certified the company as a Great Place to Work for the second straight year. The certification process considered more than 4,500 anonymous associate surveys gathered from Benchmark’s home office and its nearly 60 senior care communities throughout the Northeast. The survey measured associate pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference and feeling that their work has special meaning.

The Great Place to Work survey gauges workers’ perceptions in five areas—pride, respect, credibility, fairness and camaraderie—with employee engagement and culture being critical criteria. The level of trust felt toward company leaders, pride taken in their jobs and camaraderie experienced with co-workers are all taken into consideration.
Since its inception in 1997, Benchmark has earned a reputation as a top workplace across the region and nationally. In 2018, it was selected by FORTUNE magazine for its inaugural 2018 Best Workplaces for Aging Services list, taking the number 16 spot on the list of top 40 aging services companies and ranking number three among companies with more than 40 communities.
