MASHPEE, MA—Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee is pleased to announce the appointment of Edmund Tucker as the memory care assisted living community’s new executive director.

Tucker has extensive leadership experience in hospitality and senior living. He began his career in hotel management, serving in leadership positions in hotel operations as well as food and beverage services. He most recently served as an executive director of a senior living community in the greater Boston area, where he oversaw 58 independent living units, 38 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care apartments.

“Edmund is known for helping people find their passion and leverage their strengths to realize their full potential,” said Alicia Seaver, vice president of memory care operations for EPOCH Senior Living. “His compassionate approach for ensuring residents thrive where they live—and making sure team members are appreciated and held accountable for shared goals—has led to outstanding results for each community he has served.”

As executive director, Tucker’s daily responsibilities include directing the overall operations of the community and leading team members in providing exceptional care and quality of life that honor residents’ unique personalities, experiences and interests through all stages of memory loss.

“From the moment I first visited the community, it felt like I was home,” Tucker said. “I was impressed with the spirit of hospitality and culture of the team members and residents. Everyone is so happy and welcoming and engaging. That speaks volumes to the kind of place this is to live and work.”

Tucker received his hotel management degree from Bermuda College. He’s served as a member of several committees, including the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners and Massachusetts Lodging Association.
