Cameo Rogers named NCCDP’s 2017 CDP of the Year

SPARTA, NJ–Cameo Rogers, CTRS, CDP®, CADDCT®, CDCM®, has been recognized as the Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) of the Year by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners for her work in the field of dementia care. The award is recognized as one of the nation’s most prestigious awards in the field of dementia care.

Lynn Biot Gordon, COO of the NCCDP, and Sandra Stimson, CEO of the NCCDP, presented the award in person at the Vetter Senior Living offices located in Elkhorn, NE.

Cameo Rogers is the life enrichment coordinator for Vetter Health Services, is a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia Care Trainer through the NCCDP, and is authorized to teach the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care curriculum. She has been teaching the course within Vetter communities since 2011, and for the Nebraska Health Care Association since 2013.

The CDP of the Year award recognizes the impact that the recipient has with staff involved in dementia care and their ability to motivate their colleagues to set higher care goals with patient care. Additionally, the CDP is able to meet the challenges of reaching beyond state and federal regulations regarding dementia education and care. Through the nominee’s commitment to excellence in dementia care, the nominee inspires a lifelong passion for their colleagues’ continued growth in patient care.

A member of the Vetter Senior Living family, Vetter Health Services manages 30 facilities in the Midwest located in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming.
