David Sims Named Executive Director of Buckner Westminster Place

LONGVIEW, TX–Buckner Retirement Services is pleased to announce the appointment of David Sims as executive director of Buckner Westminster Place, a Buckner Retirement Services community. Sims joins the Buckner Westminster team with a strong background in administrative leadership and has spent his career working through various roles to provide seniors and their families with positive experiences in senior living.

“We are excited to welcome David as executive director of Buckner Westminster Place,” said Charlie Wilson, senior vice president of Buckner Retirement Services. “His background in the industry speaks for itself, and he understands the needs of our current and future residents. We are confident that David will bring an infectious level of energy and passion to Buckner Westminster Place which will continue to lead the community toward great success.

“David’s talent and dedication to service was witnessed firsthand when he served as administrator for the Elsie Gayer Health Care Center at Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo, and we know that he will provide the same high-quality care for residents of Buckner Westminster Place,” Wilson added

“I’m honored to take on this role and look forward to continuing the legacy of service and compassion Buckner Westminster Place is known for,” said Sims. “Having grown up with family working in the senior living industry, I learned from a young age what it meant to serve others and help make their lives easier. In this position I hope to make residents’ lives better on a daily basis as well as ensure that their needs are being met with the highest level of service of care.”

Sims will be responsible for handling the day-to-day activities of the community in addition to fostering a successful team environment and maintaining the satisfaction of residents and their families.

“My ultimate goal is to build relationships not only within Buckner Westminster Place, but also with the surrounding community,” said Sims. “I’m thrilled to get involved in the greater community and excited at the prospect of these relationships having a positive impact on those we serve and on our neighbors.
