November 15, 2022

ATLANTA, GA—Atlanta-based senior living innovator Galerie Living has received approval from DeKalb county commissioners to proceed with the redevelopment of a portion of Emory University’s historic Briarcliff property. Galerie Living will develop and operate Corso Druid Hills, an exciting senior living community that will set a new standard for senior living for aging loved ones and their families.

“This approval from the DeKalb county commissioners represents an important milestone for this project,” said Tim Gary, founder and CEO of Galerie Living. “Our next step is to continue our engagement with the community and share more insights into the development and programming of our Corso community. We plan to announce community events by the early spring of 2023.”

Earlier this year, Emory University entered into a lease agreement with Galerie Living to develop and operate Corso Druid Hills. This newest community will feature approximately 500 units, including independent living options like cottages, one- to two-bedroom apartments and assisted living and memory care residences. Last year, Galerie Living opened its first Corso location in Atlanta.

For more than 25 years, Galerie Living has been creating communities that elevate senior living. Each of Galerie Living’s communities incorporate innovative technology platforms that enable residents and their families to stay connected and engaged with each other and with their caregiving team. From creating flexible living options to offering unparalleled dining and other services in a caregiving model that adapts to the unique needs of each resident and their family, Galerie Living fosters a community where residents live with dignity, independence and joy each day.
