Gardant Management Solutions Hires Corporate Memory Care Director

BRADLEY, ILL–Gardant Management Solutions, a leader in the assisted living industry, has hired Rachelle Blough as its new Memory Care Director.
In this newly created corporate position, Blough will provide support for the Gardant-managed memory care communities that are currently open as well as several new properties that are under development. She will also conduct dementia care training for all Gardant communities.

Blough brings nearly 25 years of senior living experience to the role and is a certified recreational therapist, a certified dementia practitioner and a certified Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care trainer and vice president of corporate training for the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).
Prior to joining Gardant, Blough worked in a variety of positions at senior living and skilled nursing communities, including memory care specialist, activity director, program director, associate executive director, community relations director and vice president of life enrichment and innovation. She has also served as a memory care specialist and a regional director for memory care, supporting more than 100 communities in the Midwest and Canada.
Blough earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University.
Gardant Management Solutions is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois. It operates more than 40 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, the Metro East area of St. Louis, and other locations in northern, central and southern Illinois.
The company also manages properties in Indiana, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia, ranking as the 10th largest provider of assisted living in the country. An Ohio community is under development and expected to open later this year; a property in Washington, D.C. will open in 2020.
