Gladstone Senior Living Community to Expand
January 11, 2022
The Grand Royale senior living community is expanding its private Short-Term Rehabilitation. The community currently has 28 units and will expand to 45 units.
“We are very excited to see our community grow as we expand in size and capabilities,” said Kim Heard, Administrator at The Grand Royale. “This addition will help us to better serve the growing need within the Kansas City metro area.” According to the 2021 Census, an estimated 14% of the Clay County population is already 65 years of age and older. That number is slated to continue to rise as the baby boomer population ages.
After a $13 million renovation, The Grand Royale opened its doors in March 2021. Located at 2900 NE Kendallwood Parkway in Gladstone, the community was previously known as Woodbine Healthcare and Rehab Centre. In addition to Short-Term Rehabilitation, the 150,000-square-foot community offers 34 Independent Living suites and 26 Assisted Living apartments.
Residents enjoy a wide variety of dining experiences, lifelong learning opportunities and on-site amenities, including a movie theater, beauty bar and barbershop, and a billiard’s parlor.
The additional space is expected to be completed in March of 2022.
