NORTHBROOK, IL — Covenant Living of Northbrook, a not-for-profit senior-living community owned and operated by Covenant Living Communities and Services, recently celebrated the expansion of its Northbrook community with a groundbreaking ceremony. To help mark the occasion, Covenant Living President/CEO Terri Cunliffe was joined by Village of Northbrook representatives, along with their architect and constructions partners. Others in attendance included Covenant Living residents, along with future residents of the community redevelopment.

The $66.5-million expansion at Covenant Living of Northbrook includes a trio of new three-story carriage homes. This will add 36 one-and two-bedroom apartments, each with a large patio or balcony, and private underbuilding garage.

“Our commitment to older adults in the Northbrook area began 60 years ago when a groundbreaking was held for the first building on this site,” Cunliffe said in a press release. “Over those decades additional buildings were added and here we are now, ready to redevelop on this site with a project that will carry us well into the future.”

The project also includes a reimagined Town Center, which adds another 9,000 square feet with upgraded indoor and outdoor dining venues.

The development team for this project includes Chicago-based construction company Leopardo and Atlanta-based architects THW Design.

This project is expected to be complete later in 2025.
