Heritage Crossing Assisted Living and Memory Care Held Successful Hard Hat Preview Event
September 20, 2018
AKRON, OHIO–Heritage Crossing Assisted Living and Memory Care, a Meridian Senior Living Community in Northwest Akron, held a Hard Hat Preview event on August 2 giving prospective residents and families a sneak peek into its facilities before the upcoming Grand Opening in early 2019. Over 100 people attending the event toured the construction in progress, viewed the design details and color palettes, enjoyed live entertainment, and dined on lavish refreshments.
A new state-of-the-art facility providing assisted living and memory care for up to 97 residents, Heritage Crossing will be one of nine Meridian Senior Living communities serving Ohio. Its design focuses on a residential environment rather than an institutional one to create a warm atmosphere using architectural elements found in the Akron community such as a gambrel roof, barn doors, and wrought iron light fixtures.
Heritage Crossing Executive Director Lori Presser will manage the community. She brings over 20 years of experience in the senior living industry. She is an advocate for seniors and their families and thrives on connecting people with services needed. “We are pleased that the hard hat preview event was so successful,” said Presser. “We had over 100 attendees and were able to tour them throughout the community, while answering their questions about Heritage Crossing’s programing, amenities, and services.”
The cutting edge design and layout of Heritage Crossing will enable seniors to experience a comfortable lifestyle and provide them the care they need, all accompanied by an exceptionally caring and compassionate staff. Heritage Crossing will offer a wealth of amenities including an art room, a theater, wellness center, a life station, a salon, a bistro, and chef-prepared fresh meals, as well as special interest and wellness programs to keep seniors active and involved, both physically and socially.
In addition, the community will include outside courtyard areas, sensory gardens, a front porch, walking paths, on-site rehab services, and a team delivering exceptional customer service. To promote independence and provide a high level of care, resident alert products, and Wi-Fi services are implemented. Heritage Crossing expects to open its doors to new residents in early 2019.
