Heron’s Key Life-Plan Community Hires Winks as Wellness Program Manager

GIG HARBOR, WA — Heron’s Key, a life-plan community in this city 12 miles across Puget Sound from Tacoma, has hired Angela Winks as its new wellness program manager. She comes to Heron’s Key with more than 13 years of experience in the health and wellness industry.
As wellness program manager, Winks works closely with residents in assisted living and independent living while managing the fitness department, life-enrichment program, and activities programs.
“Our wellness program is versatile and provides something for all residents at Heron’s Key,” says Director of Resident Services Sarah Whitmarsh. “We know with Angela’s leadership and passion the wellness program will continue to flourish and grow.”
Winks spent much of her career working as a personal trainer, fitness director, holistic health coach, and Next STEP program director at various locations throughout Washington.
Heron’s Key, sponsored by Emerald Communities, is a Washington state-based, not-for-profit senior housing and service organization. The community, which sits on nearly 18 acres in the Harbor Hill neighborhood of Gig Harbor, provides services and amenities to people 55 and older while providing a continuum of services to support vibrant, active, and engaged lifestyles.
