WESTLAKE, Ohio — Kendal at Home has appointed Karen Graham as chief executive officer, effective April 1.
Graham transitions into the role after serving as the organization’s chief financial officer and interim CEO. The search process included input from members and employees.
“As Kendal at Home’s long-serving CFO and interim CEO, she has been a steady and trusted presence at Kendal at Home and now steps into this role with a wealth of experience and a clear vision for the future,” said Vassar Byrd, CEO of The Kendal Corporation.
Graham guided the process of Kendal at Home becoming an independent Kendal affiliate and led expansions into new markets, including Boston and Northern Kentucky.
Board Chair Rosa Licea-Mailloux cited Graham’s cross-sector background as an asset. “Karen has worked across a range of companies, giving her a well-rounded perspective on what it takes to sustain a thriving organization,” Licea-Mailloux said. “Her combination of finance, operations and IT solutions expertise positions her to lead the organization forward.”
“As Kendal at Home celebrates its 20-plus-year legacy, I am energized by the opportunity to help lead the organization into its next chapter, honoring what has been built while positioning us for thoughtful growth, continued innovation and long-term sustainability,” Graham said. “I am committed to working closely with members, the Board of Directors, The Kendal Corporation and partners across the Kendal System to ensure Kendal at Home continues to lead nationally while staying deeply rooted in the communities we serve.”
The organization also recently recognized Lynne Giacobbe, who retired as CEO prior to the transition.
