Kimberly Malaspina Appointed As Executive Director Of Felicita Vida

ESCONDIDO, CA–Longtime San Diego hospitality leader Kim Malaspina has joined Felicita Vida, a senior living community providing assisted living and memory care in Escondido, as its executive director.

Malaspina joins Felicita Vida after an extensive career in luxury hospitality, translating her experience leading high-end hotels and restaurants into the senior assisted living and memory care space.

Malaspina previously held executive positions within West Hospitality Holdings, with her last position as general manager and vice president of hospitality for West Inn and Suites in Carlsbad, Calif. She has also held general manager positions at Glorietta Bay Inn and Sunrise Management Company, both located in San Diego County.

“I am so happy to bring my extensive hospitality experience to Felicita Vida and am eager to continue getting to know the residents and amazing team that take as much pride in serving and caring for the individual as I do,” said Malaspina.

Malaspina brings an expertise in developing top-performing teams in service-oriented environments through her ability to adapt and anticipate guest needs.

Felicita Vida, opened in 2015, features 111 spacious apartment homes, chef-driven culinary offerings, and five-star amenities including a fitness center, salon, movie theater, library and activity room. Felicita Vida’s award-winning, all-inclusive embrace Memory Care program is also part of the community offerings for residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Malaspina holds a degree in gerontology from MiraCosta College and Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE) certification. Prior to her executive director position, she has served as a volunteer in the senior living industry with a focus on memory care.
