October 28, 2024
ALEXANDRIA, MN — Following their merger earlier this year, Knute Nelson and Walker Methodist have announced in a press release their new name and brand — Vivie. The new name unifies the organizations, which have combined for more than 150 years of service to older adults.
“While our name is new, our heart for service remains the same,” shared President/CEO Mark Anderson. “We will continue to build on the solid foundation built by Knute Nelson and Walker Methodist, expanding our services to meet the evolving needs of those we serve.”
The name “Vivie” is derived from the Latin root “viv” and the new brand represents a vision for the future, rooted in the company’s mission of enriching, empowering, and elevating people throughout life’s journey.
“Whether it’s through Vivie Home Health Care, Vivie Hospice, or in Vivie Living communities,” Anderson added. “we’re here to support the people we serve when and where they need it. Every person deserves to live well.”
Vivie’s integrated range of services also includes Vivie Rehab, Vivie Wellness, Vivie Population Health, and Vivie Consulting. Additionally, the Vivie Foundation will continue supporting the organization’s mission through fund development and philanthropic giving.
Rooted in a foundation of faith, Vivie is a care provider offering an integrated set of care services, including senior living, home health, care management, rehabilitation, hospice, and more. With a dedicated team of more than 2,300 employees, Vivie serves more than 13,000 individuals annually across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
