December 19, 2023
WESTMINSTER, MD — Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland has welcomed Paige Mills-Haag as its vice president of philanthropy. Mills-Haag is spearheading the senior living organization’s philanthropic efforts, including designing strategic and innovative philanthropic initiatives that advance the organization’s mission, and overseeing charitable programs and initiatives in its Maryland life-plan communities (Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster and Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant in Ellicott City).
“Paige is an excellent addition to our executive team,” said Jeff Branch, president and CEO of LSMMD. “She is establishing and cultivating relationships with our team, board of trustees, residents and community partners, as well as leading the philanthropy team on a major capital campaign for a new Performing Arts Center/Chapel at LVMG, which will provide a gathering and worship space for all who live and work at LVMG.”
With over 17 years of expertise in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership, Mills-Haag has held executive roles in two senior living communities. She possesses extensive experience in planned giving, major gifts, annual gifts, capital campaigns, strategic planning, organizational leadership, board governance, community engagement and social responsibility. Mills-Haag is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Association for Christian Fundraisers (ACF), formerly the Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE).
“It’s an honor to join the LSMMD team and lead efforts to advance the mission through philanthropy,” said Mills-Haag. “LSMMD values meaningful, strategic partnerships to foster innovation in aging services and build community across organizations and the broader community. I look forward to strengthening these relationships and engaging key stakeholders to support the impactful work of LSMMD and its communities, a social ministry that fosters a culture of intentional generosity and financial stewardship.”
Established in 2018, Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland provides strategic growth, vision, management, and resources to its continuing-care retirement communities, enabling the communities to improve operational efficiencies, quality of care and services, attract a new generation of residents and team members and prepare for future growth and industry changes.
