Cari Buchholz Named Senior Executive Director of The Springs Living in Salem

Cari Buchholz has been appointed to senior executive director, which is responsible for leading all aspects of The Springs Living’s three senior living communities in Salem, Oregon: The Springs at Lancaster Village, The Springs at Sunnyview, and The Springs at Willowcreek. In total, approximately 300 older adults reside in the three communities, and nearly 200 staff members are employed there.
Buchholz brings over 20 years of senior living experience to her new role. Most recently, she was the executive director for Emerald Pointe Senior Living in Keizer, Oregon, where she worked since 2011. Previously, she worked at The Springs at Tanasbourne in Hillsboro, Oregon as a sales representative responsible for achieving occupancy goals. She held a variety of administrator positions at several other senior living companies from 2004 to 2009. Buchholz started her senior living career at The Springs at Sunnyview in 2000.

As the senior executive director, Buchholz will provide enhanced support and resources to residents and staff across the three communities. The Springs at Lancaster Village offers independent living and assisted living services. The Springs at Sunnyview offers independent living, and The Springs at Willowcreek provides assisted living and memory care services. The Springs Living acquired Lancaster Village in 2020. A lifelong resident of Keizer, Oregon, Buchholz earned a Bachelor of Science in business economics and sociology from Willamette University in Salem.
Based in McMinnville, Oregon, The Springs Living owns and operates 18 senior living communities in Oregon and Montana, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Two additional communities are under development in Happy Valley, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. In 2021, The Springs Living was ranked in the top ten on Fortune’s list of Best Workplaces in Aging Services. Founded in 1996, the company is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
