WICHITA, KS — Target customers got more than items on their list during a recent shopping trip. They also walked away with some rubber duckies inscribed with cheerful messages that had been created by residents at Chisholm Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in this city that was one of the stops on the old Chisolm Trail in the mid-19th century.

The seniors decorated the bathtub pals to spread joy and positivity.

“Our residents were inspired by Rubber Ducky Day and wanted to put a smile on people’s faces,” said Jordyn Ridenour, life engagement director for Chisholm Place. “This project gave our residents a renewed sense of purpose. They were thrilled to surprise the shoppers with creative and uplifting messages.”
