New Assisted Living And Memory Care Community To Celebrate Its Grand Opening In West Yarmouth

WEST YARMOUTH, MA–Mill Hill Residence, a Maplewood At Mayflower Place community, will announce its grand opening on Wednesday, August 23rd from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the former site of the Mill Hill Club at 164 MA-28 in West Yarmouth. Attendees will have a first look to see the residence and experience its personalized services and amenities.

In attendance at the event will be Representative William L. Crocker, Jr. and Yarmouth town officials including Town Administrator Daniel Knapik, Executive Director of Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce Mary Vilbon, along with local businesses and neighbors. Representatives from Maplewood Senior Living including President and CEO Gregory D. Smith will be present. In addition, author, local Cape Cod resident and Alzheimer’s advocate, Greg O’Brien will address the new addition’s impact to the greater community.

The two-story, 75-unit senior living residence will consist of a mix of private apartments for residents needing assistance for daily living, as well as additional support for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Furthermore, the community will offer Maplewood’s signature services, including 24 hours a day, seven days a week licensed nurses, an emotional philosophy of care dedicated to helping each resident live to their highest potential and farm-to-table dining experience to promote overall wellness.

The architect on the project was Stein Troost Architecture. Maplewood partnered with Perkins Eastman on the interior design and NEI General Contracting served as the construction partner.

Everything at Mill Hill Residence, from spacious apartments to light-filled common spaces is designed to reflect the style of Cape Cod. With a warm coastal design, this welcoming and comfortable environment will be designed to feel like home to residents and families alike. The amenities will include a light-filled lobby, open-kitchen and display dining venues, bistros, Wellness Center, Acai Spa & Salon, libraries and stone fireplaces throughout. In addition, the community will feature water views, outdoor gardens, courtyards and a walking trail where residents and families can enjoy the outdoors.
