Omaha-Based Heritage Communities Launches New Home Health Service Line

OMAHA, NE–Heritage Communities of Omaha, NE announces the development of their new service line: Heritage OnCare Home Health. Heritage Communities owns and operates 12 senior living communities throughout Nebraska, Iowa and Arizona, including two additional locations under development. Heritage OnCare will offer medicare certified services under the home health umbrella including assistance with activities of daily living, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

“At Heritage Communities, we’ve had the great privilege of caring for seniors that make the decision to move out of their homes into our locations,” states Farhan Khan, CEO of Heritage Communities. “We consider it a great honor that families trust us to care for their loved ones. But we realize not everyone is ready to make the decision to move when additional help is needed.” Khan continues, “The goal of Heritage OnCare is to facilitate in bridging that gap and providing another solution.”

New patients will be accepted as early as January 2018, and hospice care will be added to the service line in subsequent months. Heritage OnCare will work closely with Heritage Communities’ locations before branching out into new markets across the country. They will operate near Heritage Communities’ home office at 16934 Frances Street in Omaha.

Established in 2001, Heritage Communities owns and manages locations in Nebraska (Hastings, Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, Norfolk, Omaha, Bellevue), Iowa (Sioux City, Council Bluffs) and Arizona (Glendale, Surprise, Peoria). The organization serves over 1100 residents and employs nearly 900 associates.
