Pinnacle Living to Pick Up Two Spring Arbor Senior Living Communities

July 9, 2024

RICHMOND, VA  — Pinnacle Living, a nonprofit provider of retirement living, and Spring Arbor Senior Living, a provider of assisted-living and memory-care services, have signed an agreement to transition Spring Arbor of Richmond and Spring Arbor Cottages of Richmond to Pinnacle Living.

“Our mission guides us to work in partnership with residents to provide quality services,” said Chris Henderson, president/CEO of Pinnacle Living, in a press release. “Importantly, this work is done with an eye toward the evolving landscape in senior living and the growing and diverse population of older adults in our area.”

The agreement is expected to be finalized this fall; in the interim, Pinnacle Living and Spring Arbor remain committed to a seamless transition for each resident, family, and team member.

“We are thrilled to add these two communities to the Pinnacle Living family,” Henderson added. “We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for residents in these communities and remain committed to maintaining the exceptional service residents expect and deserve.”

With the addition of the two Spring Arbor communities, Pinnacle Living will include six communities throughout Virginia.

Pinnacle Living, which is headquartered in this city and formerly known as Virginia United Methodist Homes, Inc., was founded in 1947 and began serving residents in 1948 as part of the church’s mission to serve seniors. Since then, it has grown from a single senior living community to four life plan communities that offer independent-living cottages, villas, and apartments; assisted-living suites; memory-care suites; and private and semi-private healthcare rooms. Pinnacle Living, guided by its mission, Enriching Life’s Journey, continues to honor its faith-inspired roots and welcomes residents of all faiths. Pinnacle Living communities are home to more than 1,200 residents and employ more than 1,000 team members.
