Ryan Companies and Aegis Living to Bring New Senior Living Community to the Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle

SEATTLE, WA—Ryan Companies US, Inc. (a national commercial real estate solutions provider) is working with Aegis Living, a leader in assisted living and memory care, to build its newest senior living community in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The project broke ground in March 2022 and is anticipated to open in early 2024. The community will fill a critical need, as the 75 and older community is expected to grow nearly 25% in King County between now and 2027, according to the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI).

Located on Market Street, the building is on one of Ballard’s most frequented streets and will offer residents opportunities to enjoy nearby parks and restaurants. The five-level senior assisted living and memory care community will be approximately 75,000 square feet and house 92 resident apartments, with an array of amenities such as dining facilities, a movie theater, activity rooms, a wellness suite, a community rooftop space and more. The building will also incorporate business offices and one level of underground parking. The thoughtfully-designed community will blend a distinctly northwest style with Nordic heritage to reflect Ballard’s deep Scandinavian roots.

The property will be Aegis’s second senior living community in northwest Seattle, and their 22nd in Washington state.
