Sage Age Strategies, a National Senior Living Strategic Marketing and Growth Firm, Announces Leadership Team Changes

September 30, 2019

MONTOURSVILLE, PA–Sage Age Strategies will continue its 35-year legacy of integrating high-level marketing strategy with effective messaging for the senior living industry with Melinda Schmitz as president.

Sage Age Strategies Founder and CEO Faith Ott recently announced that effective immediately, Schmitz will take the reins of the 50-person strategic marketing firm. Formerly Sage Age’s Executive Vice President, Schmitz was personally recruited by Ott to be her successor in innovating Sage Age’s services in new and diverse ways, while unlocking growth opportunities. Ott will remain very involved and active in day-to-day business as CEO.

“Future success is heavily based on having the right leader in the right role at the right time,” said Ott. “We selected a very strong leader at a time when Sage Age is in a very strong position. Melinda’s strategic vision, operating skills, leadership experience and infinite industry knowledge makes her a perfect cultural fit within our organization – and our industry. With Melinda at the helm, Sage Age is poised for growth and is very well prepared to thrive in the dynamic, ever-changing senior living space.”

“For the past five years, Faith and I have worked collaboratively to identify new opportunities for development, and to realign and strengthen processes and systems throughout our company,” said Schmitz. “I am honored to continue the incredible legacy Faith started and look forward to continuing our journey together as we develop new product and service offerings.”

As President, Schmitz will continue to work in close partnership with Sage Age’s new and long-term clients, providing them with the strategic expertise and experience required to achieve sustained, profitable growth. She has substantial consulting expertise in key business disciplines such as: strategic marketing; advertising and branding campaigns; new development and campus master planning; census assessment and enhancement; and sales oversight and best practices.

While Ott will remain actively involved in Sage Age working with her current client-partners, her goal is to commit more time to what she calls her passion projects, including the development of The Village at Pepper Hall in Bluffton, SC. The Village at Pepper Hall is a totally unique, forward-thinking, healthy-living-focused new concept in active senior living. She is also penning a book, A Caregiver’s Journey, based on her years of service in the industry, as well as her personal journey with her husband and father. She also looks forward to devoting more time to the many Boards on which she is currently a member, and she will continue to collaborate with industry partners to improve and drive change within the senior living industry.

Schmitz, a Texas native, now resides in Kansas City, MO. Ott, formerly of Montoursville, PA, resides in Fripp Island, SC.
