Sagewood Promotes Two Executives, Hires One

PHOENIX, AZ — Sagewood, part of Life Care Services (LCS) senior living communities, has announced two changes and an addition to its executive team.

Stewart Ingram, who has been working with Sagewood and LCS for more than 31 years (as Sagewood’s Executive Director for the past 17 years) has risen to Regional Operations Manager for LCS. In this role, Ingram will oversee the operations of LCS-managed communities in the San Diego and San Francisco Bay markets, while also taking a prominent role on the LCS leadership team.

With Ingram’s promotion, Ed Smith has been elevated to fill the Executive Director position at Sagewood from his previous role as Associate Executive Director. Smith has been with Sagewood since 2018, and he has over 19 years of experience in the senior living industry. He will focus on managing the operations of the community.

Sagewood has also hired Matt Phipps as Associate Executive Director. Phipps has more than 10 years of experience working for LCS. His responsibilities include managing food and beverage services, environmental services, community life services, plant operations, security, and residential health services, while also supporting Smith in the daily management of Sagewood operations.

Sagewood is a life-plan community in Phoenix, featuring resort-like amenities including a fitness center, movie theaters, indoor and outdoor pools, 18-hole putting golf course, auditorium for multi-purpose use, formal and casual dining, and health center providing assisted living, memory-care support, skilled nursing, and a rehabilitative therapy center. Life Care Services and Westminster Capital are the joint-venture partners of Sagewood.
