The Commons in Lincoln Names Debra Foster Executive Director

Lincoln Debra FosterLINCOLN, Mass. — The Commons in Lincoln, a continuing care retirement community, has named Debra Foster executive director. Foster joined the community Aug. 3.

Foster succeeds Rey LeBlanc, who was appointed president and CEO of JustLiving Communities.

As executive director, Foster will oversee operations across The Commons’ continuum of care, which includes independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. Her role also includes resident services, staff development and community operations.

Foster previously spent 10 years as executive director of The Falls at Cordingly Dam, another Benchmark community, where she oversaw operations for the 91-unit assisted living and memory care community.

Before entering senior living, Foster held leadership roles in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. She served as director of operations for the Sheraton Boston Hotel, where her responsibilities included a 1,220-room hotel, 80,000 square feet of meeting space and an operation with a $100 million budget. She previously was director of operations for the Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center.

Foster holds a master’s degree in business administration from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bates College.
