Thrive Senior Living Announces the Ground Breaking of Thrive on Skidaway
April 23, 2018
ATLANTA, GA–Atlanta-based Thrive Senior Living announces that it is breaking ground on Thrive on Skidaway, an innovative new independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Savannah, GA. Thrive will operate the community which is being developed by Equus Development Partners, a Charleston based developer. Drake Real Estate Partners is the lead equity partner in the project.
The community will be located at 5 Lake Street, Savannah, GA, just northeast of the intersection of Lake Street and the Diamond Causeway and is targeted to open in late 2019. A welcome center will open for future resident and team member inquiries in early 2019.
Skidaway Island, in Chatham County, is an island community well-known for its waterfront properties and award-winning golf courses within The Landings, one of the largest gated communities in the country. Though minutes from downtown Savannah, residents of Skidaway Island enjoy a peaceful secluded lifestyle surrounded by inland waterways and a large national park.
Focusing on resident engagement and connectivity in a casually elegant, resort-like environment, Thrive on Skidaway will blend innovative technology with southern hospitality to create a distinctive experience for a new generation of elders. The community is designed to empower residents to make the most of everyday living—building meaningful relationships, having a sense of purpose and giving back to the local community.
Thrive on Skidaway will feature 145 beautifully-appointed suites. Residents will enjoy a social lifestyle with first-class service. The community will include restaurant-style dining, a bistro and bar for cocktail hour, a movie theater, outdoor recreational activities including pickle ball and walking trails, gatherings by the fire pit, pampering in the upscale salon and spa, as well as a state of the art fitness center, an art studio for painting, and many more opportunities to connect with others and develop new interests.
Thrive will also have a dedicated team to deliver discreet care to its residents when and if it’s needed— ensuring the best quality of life.
