Upscale Flagstaff Senior Living Community Opens April 2022

Fort Worth-based operator Civitas Senior Living’s community, The Bluffs of Flagstaff, is almost ready to welcome new residents with a tentative opening date of April 2022. The independent living, assisted living, and memory care community’s address will be 3100 E Butler Ave., Flagstaff, AZ 86004.

The Bluffs of Flagstaff is a 210,572 sq. ft, three-story assisted living and four-story independent living campus that will offer multiple levels of care for seniors, including 123 independent living, 64 assisted living, and 25 memory care residences.

The community will boast spacious, well-appointed residences featuring stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, and designer touches throughout the building. Independent apartments will each have their own laundry room with washer and dryer.

Additional amenities, features, and services include scenic mountain views, a heated indoor pool, all-day bistro, pet-friendly apartments, spacious common room areas, movie theatre, two on-site salons, activity rooms, library, fitness center, putting green, interior courtyard, outdoor garden areas, walking trails, dog yards, a dog spa, garages and covered parking. The ground-floor memory care cottage features an outdoor courtyard as well. Civitas will also install charging stations for electric vehicles..

Mars, who has been an executive director in health care since 1999, obtained her Registered Nursing degree in England. She holds an associate’s degree in mental health, a bachelor’s degree in health care administration, and a master’s in psychology and clinical psychology. Mars is currently completing her doctorate degree in health care administration.

Community Relations Director, Leah Veschio, also hosts a show on KAFF Legends 93.5 called Senior Talk where she discusses helpful topics for older adults including Veterans benefits, downsizing for a move, personal safety, and more on Sundays at 9 a.m.

Residents and their loved ones will also benefit from Civitas Senior Living’s signature Passion Program. The revolutionary program will provide residents rich lifestyles brimming with social engagements, fun activities, and personalized experiences propelled by attentive caregivers, overall wellness, and delicious food.

The architect is Kaas Wilson, contractor is Greenberg Construction, and the designer is Senior By Design.
