VERO BEACH, FL–In a one of kind photography exhibition, Watercrest Lake Nona Assisted Living and Memory Care showcased their individual residents in a spotlight event. Lena Broome, business office manager of Watercrest Lake Nona, had a vision to marry her heartfelt love for seniors with her passion for photography. Lena photographed each resident to showcase their individual personality. There were no walkers, no wheelchairs, and no oxygen tanks pictured, just the heartwarming image of each senior with a lifetime of stories to share. With each portrait, Lena gathered personal interests and experiences shared by each resident to coincide with their photo.

Guests were greeted with a red-carpet entrance, enjoying hors d’oeuvres, wine, desserts and live entertainment as they strolled through the signature gallery walk, commenting on the stunning photographs and interesting life experiences of each resident.

“Too often when seniors move to a communal living environment, their personal identity is sacrificed. Watercrest affords our residents the opportunity to thrive and flourish.  I wanted the images and captions to shine light on their individual essence and offer a peek into their character and heart, without any judgement,” said Broome. “Thank you to all who trusted this vision and supported my creativity to bring this project to fruition. Watching our residents and their families viewing the Exhibit and reminiscing, was priceless.”
