Watercrest Senior Living Group Focuses on Growth Announcing Judi Donovan as Vice President of Startup Operations

VERO BEACH, FL–Watercrest Senior Living Group proudly announces the addition of Judi Donovan to the executive leadership team in a newly created role as vice president of startup operations. Having recently celebrated their 14th groundbreaking in just over four years, Watercrest is poised to open a dozen new communities in the next several years, in which Donovan’s startup expertise will be instrumental.

As vice president of startup operations, Donovan oversees the partnership and collaboration between the construction and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition for opening new communities and welcoming incoming associates, residents and family members.

“As Watercrest expands across the southeast, Judi’s unique skillset ensures we are effectively partnering with our development, construction, sales, and operational teams to maintain our Platinum Standards and successfully deliver the highest quality product to our seniors,” said Marc Vorkapich, principal and CEO of Watercrest Senior Living Group.

Donovan passionately engages startup operations, having most recently served as the vp of operational transition for a premier development and management company where she was instrumental in the launch of 15 communities. She is widely recognized in the industry having previously excelled in roles as director of operations, regional director of operations, and executive director for various organizations.

With a career start in the airline industry, Donovan realized interactions with customers are both unique and highly relational, thereby driving her mission to deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service. While serving on an operational transition team for an airport terminal, she expanded her skillset, gaining knowledge of blueprints, low voltage and access control systems, and related construction projects.

Upon transitioning to the senior living industry, Donovan joined a team opening a full CCRC, where her own mother and aunt eventually came to live, giving Donovan a unique perspective, both personally and professionally, on her ability to significantly impact seniors’ lives.
