Wellington at Hershey’s Mill Fills Key Leadership Position

WEST CHESTER, PA–Wellington at Hershey’s Mill is pleased to announce Robert Greer as its director of health care services. In his new position, Greer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day health care operations and administration at the senior living community.
Greer has more than 30 years of senior living experience and has held various leadership positions with Five Star Senior Living. He joined Wellington at Hershey’s Mill after eight years at Forwood Manor, where he started as an administrator and left as executive director of the community. Greer also held a position at Shipley Manor in Wilmington, Delaware, for 24 years as the food and beverage director.
“I’m eager to begin this new journey with Wellington,” said Greer. “Through my three decades of senior living experience, I’ve been able to develop great relationships with residents. It’s rewarding to help seniors enjoy a great quality lifestyle after retirement.”
Greer joins the team during an exciting time for the community. A renovation is underway that includes the independent living residences, dining room, auditorium, concierge, reception desk and common areas. From new carpet and custom furniture to modern designs and finishes, the community will be upgraded to meet the needs of the growing population of older adults.
Greer, who received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina, believes his experience in the field will assist him in providing quality care to residents at Wellington at Hershey’s Mill.
“I pursued a career in the senior living industry because it’s my passion,” said Greer. “I started in the food and beverage program and felt I needed to do more to serve our older population. If I can make one person smile who maybe hasn’t smiled in a while, that’s a great feeling, and that’s what I try to accomplish every day.”
